Muddy

1st day of Spring- March 20th
Happy -waiting- for Spring

Muddy

It’s March.  And there are signs of spring such as crocuses and buds on trees.  Yet March, as I’ve known it, is a month of varying weather.  The saying, “In like a Lion, Out like a Lamb, ( it can be the reverse too) reflects the ups and downs of weather patterns well.  This year March came in more like a Lamb, warm weather for just a bit. Then, of course, it got cold again and snowed.

There is an organic pattern here: from Cold and snowy to warm and thawing weather. The pattern follows its own natural course.

Melting snow makes for Muddy times.  I insist on still wearing my boots out.

There is a strong sense of change in the air.  A change that’s noticeable.  Yet one couldn’t have notice this earlier. There are things going on underneath. Under the cold and frozen snow covered ground
( we got a bit this year) there are things germinating.

Changes happen when we can’t see them, as well as times when we do see them.
I stopped and admired those crocuses, as they opened to the sun.
There are things  just waiting for “just the right” time to come out further and be seen.  There are processes in motion, gone unnoticed until the flower breaks through and blooms forth.

So Be patient. Change can bring some amazing things to fruitation.

“Mourning Dove on branch” is a pen and Ink drawing.

I love the cooing sound these doves make.  They have been coming to the feeder more, along with other birds.  The Tree branch has buds- signs of spring.

We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
