The Institute for Judaism, Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity is driven by Jewish religious values and the spiritual quest for holiness. With this foundation, and the knowledge that we are b'tzelem elohim, created in the image of God, we believe that these values call us to achieve complete inclusion, integration and equal standing of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in our congregations and communities. |

Conducting research about welcoming practices in synagogues across the country with Jewish Mosaic and Synagogue 3000, with the support of Dr. Steven Cohen. |

Call For Pride Month Events & Sermons
Pride Month is upon us. We at the Institute for Judaism, Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity are interested in knowing about the many events and sermons you may be planning to celebrate. Please send us publicity for events or sermons you do during Pride Month. Check out the Liturgy & Ritual Section's "Prayers/Readings for Services and Holidays" for ideas. Consider this with your aliyot for Pride Shabbat.
