The Eldiamante was the first watch we commissioned in late 2005.
| The Eldiamante was the first watch we had commissioned in late 2005.
Alain the designer was rather spell-bound by the design brief he got at our kitchen table. Black dial and black diamonds in clear cut. And do not forget the dauphine style hands. A few weeks later he came back with the design that evolved into the first watch we asked our specialist suppliers to make components for. When Tom our distributor for the USA saw the watch for the first time he put it on his wrist and exclaimed: “You shall not be known by the name El Lute but by the name Eldiamante”. And Eldiamante it became. |
