Week 10 FLEX Rankings: Weekend Update

Finally… Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush  HAVE COME BACK… tooooooooooo Detroit. The Lions waited long enough (like you and I) for Johnson to actually be healthy this time, so I’ve inserted him back in his usual place near the top of the Week 10 FLEX rankings. If you’ve survived without your best player thus far, congrats, and get ready for a major boost down the stretch. Bush? Well, the only thing you can really say is that he’ll nullify any value Theo Riddick had and suck touches away from Joique Bell. Super. Of DET RBs, Bush is likely the best option against a Dolphins defense that is far more susceptible in the flats than between the tackles.

Wondering about Montee Ball’s impact on Ronnie Hillman and Josh McCown’s on TB’s offense; plus, one awesome buy low? Problem Solved.

Sammy Watkins hasn’t practiced since injuring groin Wednesday. Originally, the Bills said it wasn’t serious, but I’m beginning to get worried. If he’s active, BIG WATTY is still a Top 20 WR for me – just too much upside, even if he’s slightly hobbled. However I’ve already added Robert Woods in a few leagues as a precautionary play should Watkins not suit up. Woods will be Buffalo’s primary receiving option should that happen and will be a fringe Top 35ish WR in both PPR and standard formats. Give Hollywood Chris Hogan some love as a deep FLEX play if you’re in pure desperation mode.

Fred Jackson practiced with the first team all week, yet still isn’t likely to play Sunday. Seems like they were making sure F JAX would be up to speed for Thursday night when the Bills travel to Miami. Even if Jackson is active, it appears he’ll play limited snaps. Anthony Dixon remains the best start whether Jackson is in or not. UPDATE: Jackson now likely to play. I’m wavering on how impactful he’ll be, but if the Bills feel good enough to play he, he’ll be getting the ball. He’s your best BUF RB option. Check the ranks.

Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson are out again for the Saints, and now that awful Mark Ingram is questionable with a shoulder issue. Ingram’s still expected to get the majority of work out of the New Orleans’ backfield, though. Now, I would never start Mark Ingram – he’s the worst – but my guest ranker feels differently. Travaris Cadet will be a serviceable FLEX/plug in RB2 PPR leagues.

Expect Lamar Miller to play, although, he’ll be limited and it’s a brutal matchup against the Lions. Miller’s status won’t be made official until around 12ET, so pay attention. Daniel Thomas would be semi-startable should Miller be sidelined; Damien Williams too – if you’re looking for a TD vulture.

Rashad Jennings is listed as doubtful, so anticipate one more week of Andre Williams getting a bunch of touches with little return and Peyton Hillis sneakily posting close to double-dight PPR points. Seriously, buy super low on Jennings right now. When he’s healthy, he’ll be seeing 20-30 touches a game.

Despite saying Martellus Bennett will “probably” play, the Bears promoted practice squad TE   B
