The Scion AV Installation Retail Space’s “The Gift Show” opens December 15, 2012, and kicks off with a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. The items featured in the show were donated by Scion’s community of artists and all proceeds from their sales will be donated to charity for Superstorm Sandy relief efforts.

The reception is all ages, and open to the public with RSVP at www.scionav.com/installationevent.

The list of contributors who pitched in items including original artwork, test pressings, accessories and collectibles is long (and we appreciate every one of them), but here’s a spotlight on a few them, plus what they’ve got on offer.

Chrissie Abbott is a London-based illustrator and designer who work in multiple mediums. Her work appeared in the show “Close to a World Below” at the Scion Installation gallery and she participated as a panelist at the 2012 edition of the Scion Music(less) Music Conference.

Metal Blade Records has been releasing heavy music for 30 years. Born in Southern California and now a global force, they were early champions of  legends including Slayer and Cannibal Corpse, and have kept on releasing amazing music for decades. Metal Blade recently partnered with Scion A/V for a label showcase that included performances by Six Feet Under, Cattle Decapitation, Battlecross, Gypsyhawk and Pilgrim.
