Welcome to the UNCG Strategic Planning and Vision Website. As we come together as a campus community to determine our next bold steps forward, this website will keep you up-to-date with information regarding the strategic planning and vision process and timeline.
A diverse collective of voices is paramount to shaping UNCG’s future success. To that end, this site will be used to share information on opportunities to participate in the planning process, and to directly solicit your input on UNCG’s mission, vision, values and goals for the next decade.
Inclusive Development Process
The new strategic planning and vision process launched in September 2014 involves an 18-month inclusive process designed to gather input from university stakeholders. The process is designed to create a university-wide plan that is vision-focused rather than operationally focused. Such a plan is ideal for setting the direction and distinguishing UNCG from other institutions. Together, we will answer the important questions, “Who are we?” and “Who do we want to be?” Our discoveries will enable us to create a university-level roadmap for the future.
From Discovery to Action Steps
Once the university-wide plan is in place, detailed operational plans with concrete action steps and precise metrics will be developed in our units and divisions. These operational plans will show each unit’s linkage to the larger plan along with a path to how they will contribute to achieving our university goals.
