The iconic panorama of Cumbria's most famous fells and beloved Windermere, stretch as far as the eye can see from the front of the hotel.
Mountains such as the Coniston Old Man, the Langdale Pikes and Bowfell stand as a proud and dramatic backdrop to the restaurant and many of the rooms.
Holbeck Ghyll rests serenely between Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside, with the lovely little town of Windermere just a five minute drive away, meaning the ultimate Lakeland experiences are close to hand.
Grasmere's Wordsworth and gingerbread are nearby as well as Beatrix Potter's many legacies.
Craft breweries, artisan food producers, award-winning farm shops and classic tea rooms surround Holbeck Ghyll. If you need to venture out and the weather's looking a touch challenging, all the famous produce of the Lakes can be found in the hotel's warmth and comfort.
Assuming you don't arrive by helicopter, you can find us via the A591. Winding along the shores of the Windermere and being one of the main routes through the Lakes, this is a top priority road for gritting and our grounds staff pay extra attention to Holbeck Lane and the hotel driveway each winter, to ensure easy access - however seasonal the weather.
With 30% to 50% off our standard rates when booking 3 or more rooms, we make it easy for you to keep in touch with friends and familly
