‘Supernatural’ Books ‘Buffy’ Alums Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters

2011 | Season 7, Spoilers, Supernatural

This is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans dream-come-true! We’ve seen two other Buffy alums before on Supernatural, Amber Benson (Tara) and Mercedes McNab (Harmony), now we can welcome Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase) and James Marsters (Spike) to the Supernatural Family. For those of you who don’t know, I’m a HUGE Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel fan so this will be super awesome to see! Here’s a bit more on the casting: The CW is making Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans’ dreams come true. As first reported by TV Line, Supernatural has landed Buffy alums Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters for guest starring roles, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Carpenter and Marsters will play a married couple. In a reversal of their Buffy days – when Carpenter played Cordelia, a member of the Scooby gang slayers, and Marsters played vampire Spike – Carpenter will be the supernatural, playing a witch on a rampage after Marsters’ character does her wrong. Jared Padalecki and Boba Fett? Seriously? Oh yeah, seriously! Jared, I seriously love you MORE! With hundreds of thousands of people attending San Diego Comic-Con every year and the July 20-24 event kicking off this week, The Hollywood Reporter chatted with the big names in television to discuss their favorite memories and tips for attending the annual event. THR’s Live Feed will talk Comic-Con with actors, writers and producers in the days leading up to the event so check back soon for interviews and the latest news on panels and screenings. THR: What were your first impressions of Comic-Con? Padalecki: I’m a total sci-fi/fantasy/comic book geek; I collected comic books growing up; I’ve got every Star Wars incarnation of the trilogy; and I’ve read all the Lord of the Rings books and have a tattoo – I’m just kidding about that! – I was digging through my brother’s wallet and saw one of his passwords was Gandalf, and I teased him about it but I’ve done the same thin More After The Cut...

‘Supernatural’ Interview: Jared Padalecki at Comic-Con

2011 | Conventions, Jared Padalecki, Season 7, Spoilers, Supernatural

Catching up with Comic-Con coverage and will be posting a few articles to catch up! First is from BuddyTV! Shortly before Supernatural took the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H by storm, the cast and producers took the time to meet with reporters. Jared Padalecki shared his thoughts on Comic-Con and where Supernatural is going in the upcoming season. Personally, what is your favorite urban legend? Jared Padalecki: My favorite urban legend… I don’t even know if it’s an urban legend, but my dad used to have a Twilight Zone episode called “The Shadow Man.” Did you ever watch it? It was fun. And I’ve always loved it. I’ve always liked that idea. I’ve always really been into that concept. It’d be difficult to do because you’re trying to look like a shadow! So there’d be a lot of… there’d be a big visual effects budget. No “Hook for Hands?” Jared Padalecki: You know what, “Hook Man” a More After The Cut...

Supernatural Season 7: Entertainment Weekly’s Spoilers

2011 | Season 7, Spoilers, Supernatural

Beware, if you click further onto the source page, there are some spoilers (very minor). Supernatural! Any nugget will do. Saw on Twitter that you were talking to Jared Padalecki! — Isabell Indeed! And we had a rousing conversation about Sam’s hair that I’ll share with you soon. (This is mostly true, except I might never share it with you because it was hilariously random.) But the real scoop came from head honcho Sera Gamble, who dished about a very fun upcoming episode where the boys travel to…. You’ll need to click onto EW.com’s page to view more. Heyo Everyone! I’m very pleased to see so many of you take part in our contests! I hope that we’ll get a chance to meet our winners of our VanCon giveaway. As you know, Nicole and I have big plans during VanCon weekend. We want to keep all of you in the loop as much as possible. We also have the wonderful Vanda who will be helping us with our coverage of the convention. In the past, the thing that frustrated me most about fan conventions is the lack of coverage by any of the fansites. I understand the reason behind this is mainly because of attendees don’t wish their photos or videos to appear all over the net. Believe me, I’m a little wary of sharing my own. But because I love the series and the fandom so much, I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure all of you get to see lots of goodies! Here is what you can expect, day by day, from us! Thursday, August 25, 2011 Nicole is takiing the Locations Set Tour that day. When she gets back, s More After The Cut...

Ramblings On…Supernatural: Coyote’s Kiss (minor spoilers)

2011 | Uncategorized

Ah, hellatus. We have to wait until September 23rd for the seventh season to commence…But in between conventions, marathon Supernatch viewings and possibly contemplating a little too much on “life, the universe and everything”, why not pick up a Supernatural tie-in novel? Technically, three are out this summer—Rebecca Dessertine’s One Year Gone came out earlier (catch my review on that), John Passarella’s Night Terror will be out in September, but Christa Faust’s Coyote’s Kisscame out just last month. I have to admit, at first I was dubious about this one. I didn’t know anything about Faust, and I really hadn’t heard much in the fanbase about this book. That didn’t seem to bode well in the past…The first three Supernatural tie-in books I knew nothing about before reading them and sadly I wasn’t really enamored with them. I just didn’t feel that the authors really had the characters down. I feel that sometimes authors bend over backwards talking about More After The Cut...
