Shop and garden with confidence when you work

with a Colorado Certified Nursery Professional (CCNP)

Colorado Certified Nursery Professionals (CCNPs) are uniquely trained and qualified personnel, who have the highest level of knowledge to help you garden successfully. CCNP’s promote high quality standards and professionalism for the Colorado nursery industry and allows consumers to buy with confidence from trusted industry experts.

To be certified, CCNPs are required to have proven specialized knowledge about: perennials, trees, shrubs, and landscape design. They have at least 2,000 hours of verifiable employment in the industry and have passed a three part test with a grade of at least 75%. CCNPs combine high-caliber training with quality experience. To keep up to date with industry standards and new trends, recertification is required every three years.

To Find a CCNP:

The CNGA Membership Directory identifies all member companies with CCNPs on staff. You can search for retail members in your area under the Find a Member tab on our website, and see the CCNP designation in the list next to the company name.

Information, Inspiration, and Motivation for Beautiful Gardens

The members of the Colorado Nursery & Greenhouse Association are some of the most knowledgeable gardening professionals in the region. As a nonprofit representing and supporting our members, we have developed this site so that you, the home gardener, can benefit from their wisdom.

Like anything, gardening isn't hard if you have the right tools. The first tool is INFORMATION. On this site you will find valuable information such as:

  • An easy-to-understand monthly checklist for what you need do to have healthy trees, yard, flowers, and vegetables.
  • 10 things you can do to conserve water.
  • An event calendar that highlights workshops and seminars to take your garden to the next level.
  • Why you should choose a CNGA member when purchasing plants and obtaining information.

To contact us, you can find our phone number, staff directory and other details on our Contact page.

In addition to providing information, we hope to offer INSPIRATION.

And now for a bit of MOTIVATION. . .

"I used to visit and revisit it a dozen times a day, and stand in deep contemplation over my vegetable progeny with a love that nobody could share or conceive of who had never taken part in the process of creation.  It was one of the most bewitching sights in the world to observe a hill of beans thrusting aside the soil, or a rose of early peas just peeping forth sufficiently to trace a line of delicate green." ~Nathaniel Hawthorne, Mosses from an Old Manse

Get out there and GROW!
