Presenting at EADNUG

by Otto on May 18, 2010

I’ll be giving a presentation to the Eugene Area .Net Users Group (EADNUG) Wednesday, May 19th 6:00 PM at Northwest Community Credit Union.

I’ll be talking about Using CSS Frameworks with ASP.NET.  I did a quick redesign of the iTech Northwest site using 960gs and really enjoyed how simple the framework was to use.  When I designed and rewrote Boardroom Web, I used Blueprint.  So, naturally, I’m going to focus on those two frameworks.

Should be a fun talk.  Our May meeting is being sponsored by Red Gate Software, so be sure and stop by for a slice of pizza.  Don’t forget, we have great door prizes from Tekpub, ReSharper, and SQL Sets.

[Update]

Here are the slides, samples, and resources I used during my presentation.

Espresso, Intelligentsia

I love the focus and attention to detail these folks put into making espresso.  Might be time for me to consider switching from my awesome fully automatic machine to a more fine tuned manual one. Espresso, Intelligentsia from Department of the 4th Dimension on Vimeo.

Brilliant innovations!

Cool Hunting has a great post showing how Marco|Sea transformed dumpster’s into swimming pools.   I’ve also been looking at shipping containers turned into houses.  Seems like a great use for the massive amount of shipping containers left at various ports across the US. I came across this great idea about the Highline – turn [...]

Fix for WordPress XMLRPC 500 Internal Server Error under Windows & IIS

July 29, 2009

I made the decision to migrate this site to WordPress from Graffiti CMS.  I spent a little bit of time writing my own custom Graffiti CMS to WordPress export tool, shaping the Graffiti data to match the WordPress WXR format. What I didn’t test prior to all of that work was, would WordPress work with [...]
