For example, if all 10 houses down your street have an alarm system and yours doesn’t, you have a much higher chance of being the victim of a burglary than your neighbors, despite your neighbors having simple, hundred-dollar burglar alarm systems installed in their household.
In conclusion, it’s worth stating that burglaries are less common than most people think, so you shouldn’t necessarily live with the impression that having a burglar alarm is a “must”, just because some salesman told you so. But if having a burglar alarm installed in your house or in your store, will allow you to sleep more comfortably at night, knowing that the risk of a burglary has been substantially reduced, then go for it without hesitation. After all, a burglar alarm is meant to stop stress from invading your life as much as it is designed to stop thieves from invading your property.
