The Year of Social Networks Media, the rise of Twitter , Facebook et al · Wed Nov 25th, 2:19am

So I’ve been using twitter a lil bit but haven’t really got into the whole “addiction” craze yet unlike some peeps I know! Next year is going to be exciting with the promise of Malaysia’s next 4G network and the exciting new innovations that come with it. Get on to the developers challenge, all you aspiring developers out there! It really is a chance for you guys to demonstrate all your ideas and skills and take advantage of that wide highway. Other than that, this year has been one where climbing out of the doom and gloom economy has been much the case. Went to the Yes Summit as well and I feel that it was great for young Malaysians to take the step forward and bring such talented speakers from around the world to participate in such a forum. Some great ideas but really there should have been more youth and it should have been more “engaging” instead of a one way dialogue. Other than that, Bob Geldof really was the hero of the show and he offered some brilliant ideas to battle inequality and poverty around the region and the world for that matter. It was truly inspiring.
Once again I will reiterate that Christmas is my favourite time of the year and I love the Christmas Spirit! It’s such a fun time of the year where giving is important and remembering to spend time with all your loved ones are key before you usher in the new year. Wishing you all fantastic holidays and a Merry Christmas :D

So I haven't been posting! · Fri Oct 9th, 2:27am

Because I have a desk job. But that’s no excuse! In order for me to keep track of what’s going on out there I will just leave a mini footprint out here on the web. It’s been almost a year, October is here and Christmas is just around the corner again. What has 2009 done for you and if you summed it all up in the 2 best and worst moments what would they be?
I’m still thinking what my best and worst are!

Christmas is coming! · Thu Nov 20th, 4:29am

Joyeux Noel and Happy Holidays….ching a ling, ring a ding. Well 2008 has once again proved to be another fantastic year with lots of events signalling a massive year of Change! One can’t help but keep hearing the bells of change ringing throughout the world , be it in our lovely home Malaysia and or America, to that of Thailand, Pakistan, New Zealand etc!
It’s a new generation where internet and society have now converged and a new era of freedom and openness has prevailed. Of course one shouldn’t believe everything there is to be proclaimed on this powerful medium of communication but as the old saying goes ” there’s no smoke without fire!”. The more blogs, forums, articles we read worldwide, the emphasis on issues are compounding and compelling enough for the people on the street to march along the streets ringing their bells in voicing change. So .. what is this change?
Change politically, financially and socially mainly amongst others.
People are sick of the financial systems that have brought poverty to the world and oppress the weak. Consumerism to the point where developed countries consume up to 10 times what they really need and third world countries 10 times less than what they need to survive. You look at American consumerism and the kind of carbon emissions they produce. And the fallacy of fuel crops that are burdening the Amazon jungle due to the clearing of jungle for more land that could be used to produce fuel crops (to cut a long story short). At least from Obama’s latest speech and focus, he makes a major effort to ring change in bringing down environmental damage. The whole financial system must be reworked to contain the credit monster that is sweeping through global markets. The man on the street will surely tell you enough is enough and governments must be responsible and address all these issues in a fair, transparent and honest manner , integrity all included.
God has sent us all a very clear Christmas message this year. And that is the truth will set you free and people will be able to access this truth in a more available manner! The Internet! One must keep praying though, and not be led astray by the vast amounts of information but sieve through them wisely with the help of God and learn through this process.
The mobile internet is coming, so watch out for it next year ;)
In closing, I would like to wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. May God’s blessings be upon you , your family and your loved ones and continue to persevere on to bring truth in the coming 2009!

Praise the Lord! · Fri Apr 25th, 3:06am

How wonderful was it to witness one of the most historic events, well to me anyways about our good Lord Jesus Christ. Earlier this month as some of you may know, American Idol, one of the most internationally watched and followed series sang out one of Darlene Zschech’s most powerful songs. This was “Shout to the Lord” and how fitting it was to see that America could still glorify God in front of the whole world. How often do people fear to recognise, acknowledge or Praise the Lord in public? For a country that has “In God we trust” inscribed on every banknote, I’m glad they finally praised him for everyone to see and gave him the glory he truly deserves.
Amen

1-1 Game on, to Stamford Bridge! · Wed Apr 23rd, 7:52am

So an exciting second leg to the semis unfolds with Riise scoring a last minute own goal that keeps Chelsea’s Champion League hopes alive. For about the first 10 minutes of the game, Chelsea looked the more daring, attacking Liverpool and controlling the flow of the game, however as Torres moved in for a couple of hopeful chances, Liverpool were back in it. Chelsea’s flair seemed to wane and the players looked slightly tired both physically and mentally perhaps due to the fact that there were multiple games in quick succession. Drogba seemed to be hounded by Skrtle who did a good job at not allowing him to play his game and Joe Cole and Malouda too looked toothless on the wings. Even so what happened to Ashley Cole with his mistimed tackles , being caught in possession and ultimately Makelele jumping up for a ball he was never going to get. It allowed Kuyt to pounce on a lucky deflection and ultimately dictated much of the rest of the game.
Being a Chelsea fan , however, I was quite pleased that Riise decided to score a spectacular diving header, albeit into his own net pass the flabbergasted Reina and allowing us a chance to take advantage of the result at the bridge. Come on you Blues!

(Sang to the tune of “O Christmas tree”)
From Stamford bridge to Luzhniki,
We’ll keep the blue flag flying high,
Flying high, up in the sky,
We’ll keep the blue flag flying high,
From Stamford bridge to Luzhniki,
We’ll keep the blue flag flying high!
