Be Blunt

If you’re out by yourself or your friends are nowhere to be found you may just need to take things into your own hands. Tell them that you are not interested and that you want them to leave. You don’t have to be rude but you may need to be right on the edge of rude so that they get the point.

Leave

You may end up needing to leave the area. Either leave the building, or leave where this person seems to be. They will eventually get the hint if you keep dodging them. If they don’t, then threaten to get security or simply leave the area all together. Some people have trouble taking a hint. If you are with friends make sure that they know where you are.

If you find yourself in an awkward date then you will also find yourself wanting to get out. There are a few things that you can do that will allow you to be able to escape an awkward situation. Whether they are not what you expected or they are just making you feel uncomfortable make sure that you are able to get yourself out of there without making a scene.

Fake an Emergency

While this is something that is usually frowned upon it is sometimes unavoidable. You may need to fake an emergency so that you can have an excuse to rush out of the date and never look back. The fake emergency will usually seem more genuine when you have a friend to help. Excuse yourself to the bathroom and tell a friend to call you and tell you that they need you to come quick, tell them that you’re not feeling well and have to visit the local GUM clinic in the morning as you fear that you may have contracted an STD during your last swingers sex session.

Bow Out Gracefully

If you are not much of an actor, then you may want to try another route; honesty. You can simply tell the person that it is not going to work out and that you don’t want to waste anymore of their time. They may not like to hear it but it will allow you to leave without faking anything.

Tough it Out

If worse comes to worse you may just have to tough it out. Just try to keep yourself entertained and prepared to get out of there when the date is over. At the very least you can have something to laugh about with your friends the next day when you tell them all about it.

Learning how to say no to a nice guy is something that can be really difficult to do. You will find that there aren’t a lot of nice guys out there so you really need to make sure that you let him down easy. If a girl is mean enough to a nice guy then he can turn into a real jerk fast.

Think About It

You really need to think about why you are saying no to this guy. If you can’t come up with a reason, then maybe you need to reconsider. A lot of girls will turn down nice guys only because they are used to dating jerks. If you have a bad habit of bad boys then maybe you need to give this nice guy a chance.

Careful Wording

If you have good reasoning for turning this guy down, then make sure that you choose your words carefully. You don’t want to end up saying anything cliché as this will only make it more difficult on him. Try not to mention the word “friend” and let him know how you really feel. Don’t let him feel like it is something that he did wrong unless it was. If he is a nice guy, then make sure that he knows that by telling him.

Genuine

Don’t feed him some line. Even if you carefully word something where you don’t give him the dreaded friend speech you can still come across as not genuine. If he really is a nice guy, then he deserves to get treated nicely.

If you are not interested in the person that is asking you out, then there are a few ways that you can tell them ‘No’. You will find that some people will not be able to take the news that you don’t like them so make sure that you go about it in a way that is going to let them down easy and let them know why they are not going to get to go out with you.

Say Why

It is always good to tell them why you don’t want to go out with them. A lot of the time, when you just tell them no they will want to know why that is. Really, they deserve to at least hear an explanation, even if it is not one that is entirely true. If you want to tell them the real reason, then it is up to you. If you have a good and nice reason to turn them down, then go for it. However, if you think or know that it will hurt their feelings, then just make something up that will get them off your back.

Straightforward

Be straightforward. Never dance around the subject and tell them ‘Maybe’ or ‘We’ll See’. A simple yes or no is what they need to hear. You will only end up making things worse if you don’t give them a straight answer. A lot of people won’t come right out and say no because they don’t want to hurt their feelings. You will end up hurting them a lot more whenever you lead them on.

Wrong Kind of Attention

You know the wrong kind of attention versus the right kind of attention. Dressing slutty or acting loose are things that can really end up getting you the type of attention that gets you eyed up.
