History

Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books) came into existence in 1970. It became part of the Time Warner Book Group in 1998 and in 2006 was acquired by Hachette Livre; it is part of the Hachette Book Group USA (HBGUSA).

Executive Vice President and Publisher of Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books), Jamie Raab oversees the publication of approximately 275 titles per year on Grand Central Publishing’s hardcover, mass market and trade paperback lists.

Since joining the company in 1986, she has acquired and/or edited a wide range of fiction and nonfiction titles including such New York Times bestsellers as AMERICA (The Book) by Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show, DUDE, WHERE’S MY COUNTRY by Michael Moore, and I AM AMERICA (AND SO CAN YOU!) by Stephen Colbert. Her primary areas of interest are fiction and current events, and some of the authors with whom she has worked, other than those already mentioned, include George Dawes Green, Nicholas Delbanco, Nelson DeMille, Jane Goodall, Billie Letts, Brad Meltzer, Amy Sedaris, Anne Rivers Siddons, Nicholas Sparks, and Lalita Tademy.

Jamie Raab has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in New York City with her two children.
