Employability

To become a successful member of the workforce requires a set of skills that may not have been learned in regular education. Charities and community groups working with local businesses can provide the skills to help young people, women and those with learning difficulties to achieve their full potential in the workplace. Giving through the Community Foundations also lets us automatically claim Gift Aid, adding 25% to your donation, even to charities too small to be registered. Higher rate tax payers can claim up to an additional 22%.

Who we are

Localgiving.com is a social enterprise owned by the Community Foundation Network (CFN) and the Ardbrack Foundation, both registered charities dedicated to supporting local charities. CFN is the national body of the 57 Community Foundations in the UK. In 2010 CFN distributed £70m in grants to 17,000 voluntary community organisations.
