The Wedding Video Online

spacer After much waiting, we finally got our wedding video! We also had quite a few reproduced, and will be sending a copy of the CD in the mail with “thank you” cards in the next week or so.

(Hopefully, we’ll have time… Fingers crossed!)

But while you’re waiting for your copy, and for others who weren’t there, we’ve decided to post it online so you can watch it, too. From the arrival of the guests, to the reception, it was all captured on video.

In Case You’re Wondering…

spacer Just a quick update on what’s going on. Sylvie has just finished her chemo two weeks ago. And we’re sure glad it’s over. (Radiation is only starting in another couple of weeks, so this is giving us a bit of a break. Thank goodness!)

As one of the side-effects of chemo, Sylvie had to deal with close to six months of what she calls “chemo brain.” In addition to feeling sluggish, tired and sometimes nauseous, Sylvie had a very difficult time concentrating. And her memory was short at times. This, according to doctors, is common.

Since her last chemo, however, Sylvie’s back in the swing of things… in full force. In fact, she’s working on our new product, and it’s a doozie. Sylvie will be posting to her Breast Cancer Victory blog soon, so keep an eye out for it.

Heroes Aren’t In Comic Books

spacer Since her initial diagnosis, my beautiful wife has been writing in a personal journal on her computer. During the wedding, the honeymoon and the numerous back-and-forth tests at the Ottawa Breast Cancer center (on the Civic Hospital campus), she kept a brave face.

But after the dust settled from the wedding and cruise, and now with the official diagnosis and the impending surgery, reality has hit her hard.

However, Sylvie is upbeat about her upcoming mastectomy on Monday, September 11. She jokingly refers to it as “when one of her twin towers will be falling.”

Blessings In Disguise

We’ve kept some information private for a while for a variety of reasons. But now we’re making it public, and we also need to apologize to some of you and also create some awareness about an important issue.

As we settle down from the honeymoon, life has thrown us a curveball. I’ve already written about this on my personal blog, so rather than posting it here, please visit my blog to read about this issue. No, it has nothing to do with marketing, copywriting or the Internet. It’s not an offer, either.

It’s a personal piece of news that Sylvie and I wanted to share with you that’s important, particularly if you were planning on seeing us speak at an upcoming seminar:

Climbin’ Up De Falls, Ya Mon!

spacer One of the excursions we’ve done on our Caribbean honeymoon cruise was to climb up the treacherous “Dunn’s River Falls” in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

These falls are world-famous and one of the most in-demand excursions in the Jamaican port of call. It was stunningly beautiful, and the falls were gorgeous.

But, the climb was not as easy as it seems. We had to climb up close to 1,000 feet up several steep rocks, while battling strong, raging waters hitting against you at 40 miles an hour.

And guess what? It’s all captured on video.

Back From The Honeymoon

spacer We just came back from our weeklong western Caribbean cruise on the Royal Caribbean’s Navigator Of The Seas. It’s was fantastic! Sylvie and I brought along my 21 year-old daughter (from my previous marriage), Megan, and Sylvie’s kids, Celeste (16), Paige (14) and Tyler (13), as we all went on a much anticipated "familymoon."

We sailed from Miami to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and then Mexico. I do have some candid photos to share with you, but first let me show some of the professional shots taken by The Royal Caribbean cruiseline’s staff.

The Most Beautiful Day

spacer Let me introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Fortin! The wedding was absolutely beautiful. We will post our thoughts in the coming days — we are still grinning from ear to ear, and want to take some much needed time off.

But I wanted to quickly share some special moments with you. There are two sets of pictures (because there are so many, please allow the thumbnails to load.) Click on the thumbnails below to enlarge.

The Pre-Wedding Party!

spacer Last night we had a party!

Here are a few pictures of us taken at Tucson’s Roadhouse, where the "bachelordom" pre-wedding party took place. The band was awesome, too! They’re called “Funktion.”
