v2.0 Beta - For testing
  Can be used as a standalone plugin for re-sizing images. Still includes CE Image link for all those awesome image manipulation features, but it’s not required.

v1.5 Bug Fixes

  • Please note the new tag

{/exp:ez_image_resize:run}

By far the best feature in EZ Image Resize is the ability to re-size images using the attributes set in the html image tag itself. For example, when using a wysiwyg or simliar fieldtype, resizing the image will only scale the image using the image tags width/height attributes. The EZ Image Resize plug-in it will detect these attributes and generate an optimized image that matches the exact size defined in the html image tag. This reduces image download times when using large images in your content. It also ensures that all images within a given field do not exceed the max_width that you set. Clients will never again break any layouts created in your design. Other features include: adding borders to all images, rounding corners and setting opacity, grayscale filters and many other great features provided with CE Image.

Note: This is a CE Image extension, so CE Image is required.

Great addon! Makes it possible to let the users go wild in the WYGWAM editor, and be assured that the layout will stay tight. Especially useful in responsive layouts where you want to return the smallest possible image size, based on the device.

Great support too! :)

A fantastic addon, and I’m hugely impressed with the dev’s willingness to accommodate feature requests.  A brilliant $5 expenditure!

Best $5 I’ve EVER spent (after Cold Stone Creamery). When you need to allow images in Wygwam, this is what lets you sleep at night. We can’t blame clients/users, we must make sure they can’t do no wrong even if they try. This plugin will save lives.

Until now I was practically having to force clients to use separate upload fields for images - there was always the concern they might break the layout by uploading a giant image. But now, I can give them the flexibility of uploading their own images and easily control the size in the template. A+

This is going to change the way I build websites from now on.
It allows you to let idiots add images within entry text without the risk of them screwing up the design. They don’t need to know how to resize or to edit HTML code.
A real game changer!
