A new version of Smultron will soon be released

As soon as Apple approves the latest version of Smultron (4.1.2) it will be released. It includes a fix for a problem that some have had with misaligning line numbers when using certain fonts like e.g. Monaco. Other changes are:

• Fixed a possible issue with the preview window

• Now properly warns when a text cannot be saved using the current text encoding

• Some other small bug fixes and improvements

Lingon 3.0.2 released

You can now update Lingon to version 3.0.2 through Mac App Store (macappstore://showUpdatesPage). The changes are:

• Fixed a bug which occurred when closing the main window

• Now correctly finds the executable file when choosing a Java app

You can now update Smultron to version 4.1.1 through Mac App Store (macappstore://showUpdatesPage). The changes are:

• Fixed a possible issue with some documents taking a long time to open under certain circumstances

• Fixed a possible issue with misaligned line numbers

Smultron 4.1 submitted to Apple

Version 4.1 of Smultron has been submitted to Apple and will be released as soon as it is approved. The changes are:

• iCloud document support (use the File menu to move documents to iCloud to access them on all your Macs)

• Much faster saving (so that it never interrupts your workflow)

• Generally faster

• Improved Documents window (e.g. you can now drag and drop files there to open them)

• Added a toolbar

• Added shortcuts, Command - 1 thru 9, to quickly switch to a document

• Improved info viewing

• Added option to create new documents in the same place as the previous (to reduce possible window “clutter”)

• Fixed a possible issue with wrongly aligned line numbers when using non-latin characters

• Fixed a possible issue with high line numbers and larger fonts

• Fixed two possible printing bugs; one with the header and one not showing the correct number of pages

• Many other small improvements
