In the Classroom

The Los Angeles Review is a proud member of the CLMP Lit Mag Adoption Program

The Council of Literary Magazines and Presses recognizes that many creative writers first find their way into print through literary magazines. However, few student writers actively engage with literary journals in the course of their education. By bringing literary journals into the classroom and providing opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to interact directly with editors, the Lit Mag Adoption Program promotes an active and engaged community of writers and readers.

How to Bring LAR to Your Classroom

The Lit Mag Adoption Program for Creative Writing Students allows professors to use deeply discounted editions of The Los Angeles Review in their classes. Students will receive subscriptions at 30% off our standard rates, and professors will receive free desk copies. Each participating class will receive two issues during the semester. In addition, classes will have direct interaction with one or more of LAR’s editors through a virtual or in-person (where local) “One-on-One” chat session.
