Chad Mazzola

I design and build
products for the web.

I am a full stack designer. I do product design, prototyping and wireframing, implementation of the front-end within the app, and visual design of the UI. My goal is to build successful products that people enjoy using.

I believe that good design must exist at every level of the product: a compelling concept, rendered in clean code, with a beautiful interface that is a joy to use. For me, the goal of design is to reduce the noise and clutter of the world to enable people to live better, more interesting lives.

Along with design, I’m interested in architecture, photography, art, music, literature, and philosophy. I’m inspired by the work of Dieter Rams, Anne Carson, John Zorn, David Foster Wallace, Josef Müller-Brockmann, Sophie Calle, Christopher Alexander, Alexander McQueen, Alain de Botton, Edward Tufte, and Nietzsche, to name a few.

I live in Cambridge, MA, near the highest density of quality bookstores in the area. I currently work as a designer and front-end developer at thoughtbot.
