Michele is a creative whirlwind and takes the word visionary to new levels.  She loves being in the remotest parts of the world tangibly seeing outrageous love transform lives and communities on personal and practical levels.

Most of her time is spent in the bush of South Sudan with her 100+ kids.  And her idea of camping is still a spa day.  Go figure!

Michele wants her life will be an invitation to embrace overcoming grace, genuine joy and authentic, intentional living.

She is the founder and director of Nema International, a support arm for projects she is involved in in South Sudan and beyond.  She has a passion for the worth and value of every life and loves to see people find the more they were made for.  Michele also writes regularly on her personal blog, From the Unpaved Road, about stories and topics pertaining to her own faith journey.

Michele currently lives in South Sudan and is available roughly 4 months out of the year for speaking engagements in the West.  An over-comer of severe birth defects including the absence of her left leg and kidney, 23 medical surgeries by age 13 and numerous other challenges, she has been inspiring audiences with her story since she was 9.  She is also a writer, photographer and artist.
