101 Things I am Thankful about.
To live in the moment, to live in your best life now, you have to be thankful. Accepting of who you are, knowing that you are worth greatness, the reason you are alive, you have to be thankful. Confident people know that they got both strengths and weaknesses and they are thankful for both.
Being thankful is makes you think of the less fortunate, it makes you go out and offer hope and change.
Towards that end, here is my list of 101 things I am thankful for: ( The list will keep being updated in case you are here before I reach 101).
1. I am thankful that I am still alive. I have something great to offer this world.
2. I am thankful for me. I am a special person. ( Are you? We all are).
3. I am thankful for my children. They are a gift from God to me.
4. I am thankful for my husband, who says that he saw me and saw someone he can love and live with ( frustrate).
5. I am thankful for being in this blessed country, the United States, water from a shower power everyday, internet always, air conditioning. The list goes on, I have been on the other side, so I know what it means.
6. I am thankful that I work from home, on my laptop and on my timing and I can choose to stop this list now, until later. 11.04pm August 4th 2011.
7. I am thankful for my beautiful black African hair that you can make into different shapes.
8. I am thankful that I see yet another day.
9. I am thankful for the air I breath.
10. I am thankful that I can make a choice on what I want to do today.
11. I am thankful that there are somethings I can change in my life.
12. I am thankful that there are somethings I may never change in my life, some I am sad about, some I accept. The acceptance of the former is what I strive for.
13. I am thankful for my education and the fact that I had the great opportunity to go to school.
14. I am thankful for the silent mornings I do have when I get to sit quietly, pray, meditate or just listen.
15. I am thankful for my journal who is always there every morning lending me a listening ear.
16. I am thankful that I am an adult now and so many things I can decide on my own.
17. I am thankful for my future, if it will come, let it find me with a grateful heart.
18. I am thankful for the dreams I have right now.
19. I am thankful for some dreams that have eluded me for now. I have let them lie for now. If they do happen then I will be more thankful. If they do not happen then so be it. I still have other dreams.
20. I am thankful for the fresh supply of dreams that I have.
21. I am thankful for my creativity.
22. I am thankful that I love to write and that I actually write-often.
23. I am thankful for the therapy I get in writing.
24. I am thankful for the clarity and answers I get when I write.
25. I am thankful for the spiritual aspect of my writing. It is like a prayer to me when I see my raw thoughts and the honesty I put down on my journal.
26. I am thankful for the novel I am writing. It is complete and yet again it is not and in all I am thankful for the story coming through me.
27. I am thankful that I have come to know that life is what you make it.
28. I am thankful that I have realized that I cannot blame people my whole entire life. It is a waste of energy. What I have is today. What I do with the day is entirely my choice.
29. I am thankful to know that somethings, some powerful things in life, are totally free.
30. I am thankful that happiness is not displayed in an expensive high end boutique to be bought through a credit card or loan or to be robbed. I can decide right now to be happy and be.
31. I am thankful that in this life you can give or receive a ton ofย advice but what you experience or discover for yourself will never leave you.
32. I am thankful for the free peace and rest you can get by just lying down somewhere and letting go.
33. I am thankful that I do not have to be perfect to start on a project. I can just start and with execution clarity will come.
34. I am thankful that the magic to recreate my life lies within me, it is not out there in a jungle somewhere, it is withing me. I got the power.
