Virginia Sotirova (Gina) — Founder/Principal

spacer Gina founded Zayko in 2000. In 2005, she was profiled by CREATE Magazine in a main editorial feature Branding Your Creative Business. In 2006, she (and Zayko) won an Interactive Media Outstanding Achievement Award for the design and development of ReleaseChimps.org.

Gina studied Information Science at the University of Michigan and graphic design at The Art Institute of Boston. She holds a M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from Sofia University and a Certificate in Web Design and Development from Boston University.

Gina is dedicated to helping non-profit and educational organizations make the most of web 2.0, 3.0, and beyond. She also loves feeding squirrels, taking pictures of squirrels, swimming, and backpacking.  In her free time, she volunteers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Emil Sotirov — Advisor

Emil is a Co-founder/CEO of People Networks. He is a serial entrepreneur and author of the “Anti-Architecture Manifesto.”

In 2004, Emil developed the concept for a web-based informal person-to-person mutual aid network. In 2005, he co-founded Aidpage Inc. and, as CEO, managed the creation and growth of Aidpage. In 2007, Aidpage became part of People Networks.

Emil co-founded IDILOGIC in 1994, soon after dropping out of the PhD Program in Architecture at the University of Michigan. In IDILOGIC, he co-developed Federal Money Retriever (FMR) — a grant search/apply desktop software and database praised by the American Library Association as best electronic reference product. The Wall Street Journal Online Center for Entrepreneurs hailed FMR as “best of the best.”
