i know! that was way too many!

on tuesday morning, huck had his 15 month check up and booster shots. we were in a major rush, so i packed huck a pbh for the road. now, i am telling you, that sandwich was the way, the light, and the life. i mean, the man would not put the sandwich down. he held it in the waiting room, he held it all the way through weighing and measuring, and he even kept a grip on it during all three shots. (he did manage to smear peanut butter on the doctor's sweater. atta boy!)  he took his shots like a cowboy, i was so proud. 

i took this series of photos while we were waiting on the doctor. even just looking at them makes me tired. fifteen months is so fun--and exhausting!--and every time i think he couldn't get any better he just does. he is an unending fountain of bliss. i wish you could have heard the way his little feet slapped against the tile as he made his laps that morning, taking care of all sorts of important things i am sure, and pausing occasionally to take a phone call (on his sandwich), and, just once, stopping to lay his head on my knee and hug my leg. oh if i could bottle up this kid, i would give some to anyone in need of some sunshine. he is it.
