Pixel Art Inspired by Pop Culture Characters

Which one or more pop culture characters are your favorite, Batman, Alien, BigDaddy or other else? No matter which you like, we wish you can find out them from the incredible works of pixel art.

Ty Lettau, a designer living in San Francisco created these cute 8-bit pop culture characters based on the “standing Mario” sprite from Super Mario Bros. As we can see from the images, each character features pixelated style and his/her very own details, all in all, we don’t recognize Iron Man as Hellboy, Mega Man as Captain America, or Link as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At present, the collection of pixel art contains 696 characters from popular movies, video games, comics and more such as Star Wars, Bioshock, Iron Man, Futurama, Harry Potter and etc. Have you caught your favorite characters from the 8-bit artworks?
