My name is Mariusz Zawistowicz and sometimes you can find me under the nickname vesthar (it comes from the word harvester because my first computer sounded like a combine harvester! ;))
Anyway…

I come from Poland but am currently based in Ireland where I push my creativty to it’s limit working as a full time senior graphic designer and developer. I spend most of my time designing and developing WordPress websites. And when I’m not doing that I’m dreaming about it.
Pixel Monarchy is part of the charismatic group. I run both.

I have a strong background in graphic/user interface design and front-end development at the same time focusing on web standards and best practices. I’m  a real perfectionist and addicted to design and WordPress. If I have an idea I can’t sleep until I make it real.

I have a love for design and having a hand in making the web an enjoyable experience and more inviting place. I’m a geek at heart.

A History Of Design

Drawing and sketching has been my passion since I was a kid. When my parents bought me my first computer – I found it  an incredible instrument for self expression. It’s has been my main platform for creativity ever since. Since then I have fallen in love with a beautiful Mac and ditched the harvester. I am blessed to be able to make a living at what I love doing.

The Developer

I have learned a lot of languages in my travels and get better at them all the time – they include PHP , MySql, Javascript, ActionScript and English. English was by far the hardest.  I now consider myself  a creative designer and developer.

In my free time

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading books, browsing websites and sketching. I have a passion for technology, gadgets and reading. When my wife is not looking I also enjoy first person shooter games and sci-fi movies.
