Super Bowl Parties!
I hope you all had fun watching the Super Bowl. I certainly did and I was so very happy that the New York Giants won! My friend, publicist Peggy Siegal, suggested that I join her for a gathering in Manhattan. Actor Bob Balaban and his wife, writer Lynn Grossman, hosted a festive party in their lovely Upper West Side apartment. This blog starts off with those photos and concludes with a collection offered to me by employees of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. It’s always fun to see the clever ways in which others celebrate!
1 The betting started promptly at 5:30. Guests were asked to bring single dollar bills and to sign the Super Bowl Box Pool.
2 You could also bet on all sorts of other nutty things that happen during the entire broadcast. Proposition bets, or prop bets are very specific bets, like the time it takes to sing the national anthem.
3 Don't you think that Kelly Clarkson did a super job singing backed by a children's choir? Unfortunately, I lost this bet.
4 The Patriots, of course, were ahead at half-time. I lost another dollar here!
5 I actually won a dollar here, but my friend, Lorraine Bracco lost!
6 I did fine on this one since Victor Cruz, #80, scored the first touchdown for the NY Giants.
7 Does anyone know the answer?
