Ex-Wisconsin boy who moved to Portland in 1995. He got involved in improvised theater in 1996 and helped found the Brody. He began studying anthropology in 2001 and by 2008 had a BS and an MA. Brad has performed on stages across the US, Canada and Europe, and he is the author of "Long-Form Improvisation: Collaboration, Comedy and Communion". |

People who do improv often talk about this weird and amazing sense of "groupmind" that can emerge when people play together. It's like the borg but less creepy with no android parts required. It can happen in jazz and sports sometimes too. This presentation will address what that is and some research about what happens in our brains when that "groupmind" happens. |
