Ignite Boulder 17 FAQ

Ignite Boulder 17 is Wednesday, November 30 at the Boulder Theater! Here is everything you need to know:

Fall Ball? What should I wear?

We’re calling it optional black tie. Last year over half of the audience came dressed to the nines. The other half jealously eyed the dazzling result. Either way, we promise you won’t feel out of place.

Are tickets on sale?

SOLD OUT! Very sorry.

Do I really need to print out my ticket?

No. Just bring an ID! (Eventbrite automatically puts that language on each ticket – ignore it.)

I suddenly can’t make it. How can I transfer my ticket to a friend of mine?

No sweat. Have them check in under your name.

Will there be food?

Nope. But there are lots of restaurants downtown that would love to stuff your face with outlandish treats.

What time do things really get started?

Doors open at 6pm. The show starts at 7pm. Try to be on time. We’re usually done at 9pm or so.

Your events always sell out, but I’ll probably wait until the last minute to buy a ticket and be out of luck. You’ll let me in, right?

Jerks! Can I at least stream the event from home?

Yep. We’ll be streaming at igniteboulder.com/live.

I’m not 21 years old. Can I come?

No. This event is 21+.

Is there a band?

Not this time. We recommend using intermission as a chance to meet folks, drink drinks, get your photo taken and openly threaten Ef.

I’d love to come, but I’m hearing impaired.

Come sit right in the front…we’ll have ASL interpreters live on stage!

What’s the hashtag?

Please use #igniteboulder. Use the tag to meet folks who are also at the event and to tell the world how marvelous Boulder is.

Am I allowed to heckle?

We’ve discovered that most people aren’t very good at heckling. We’re certain you’re a much better listener than you are a heckler.

Is there an afterparty?

Yep! Head to The Pinyon after 9pm. It’s at 17th & Pearl St.

Ignite Boulder 17 – Fall Ball

We’re bringing Ignite Boulder back to the Boulder Theater on Wednesday, November 30th for our Fall Ball. That means if you want to dress up all fancy, please do. Not required, obviously – this is still Boulder. But we did it last December and had a great time.

Submissions open NOW! If you’ve always wanted to speak at Ignite Boulder, you’ll get your chance. Best of luck.

Tickets will go on sale after speakers are announced – probably November 1st. $10, as usual.

Ignite Boulder Sweet 16 Wrap-up

Thank you to everyone for celebrating our Sweet 16 with us. It was a packed house, full of energy + enthusiasm + a baby or two. All are welcome.

A huge shout-out to our sponsors (all of whom are listed on the right side of the page) for supporting us and making our event stronger with each outing.

A similarly huge shout-out to our volunteers for helping first-time Igniters feel at home.

Lastly, thank you to our speakers. Five minutes goes by very fast, but you made every moment count on that stage. Well played.

We’ll announce the date of the next Ignite Boulder soon. We’re aiming for December. Videos of the talks will be available on YouTube in the coming weeks.

Ignite Boulder 16: SOLD OUT

All the tickets are gone! Oh noes!

If you didn’t buy a ticket (but you want to attend the event), ask around on Twitter. We may release 1 or 2 tickets this week due to refunds and that sort of thing, but your best bet is asking around.
