Reflections Being A Freelance Graphic Designer…. Special thanks

I’ve spent many years in the same chair creating some cool stuff for some pretty cool people. I’ve spoken to so many; listening to them explain how much hope they have for their new service, awesome new retail space, or new niche in a market…Maine to California, you get the idea. I’ve been flown to New York to promote a product I created for over 18 months, dinner, endless invitations, etc. I really never took anyone up on their generous offers, (except New York, Cmon, I am not crazy!) because I walked away with so much more gratitude just because they asked and were expressing how happy they were with the final product.

As for logos, I am waiting to drive down the street, look over, and see one in use… THEN, I’ll know I had made it. Shouldn’t be too long or maybe it may, I never leave this chair! spacer

Mr. Prescott, What’s a vector graphic?

Thats a great question, especially important when it pertains to your new logo design… a vector graphic is a creation of digital images through a sequence of commands or mathematical statements that place lines and shapes in a given two-dimensional or three-dimensional space. I didn’t write that, I’m a graphic designer, not a software programmer!

Cool Chris, how does this benefit me with my logo project?
Well, a vector graphic is a scalable design that can be resized to unlimited proportions without loosing its resolution. Anytime you use your new logo for print, web, basically anything, it’s best to provide your printer/designer your vector file so that it can be exported to its final needed use and resolution.

Do you create these awesome vector images?
I sure do! It’s an industry staple to create all logo identity in vector form and I adhere to the standards! All logos created by me are created in Adobe® Illustrator, and supplied in their native vector .ai file formats. Snappy right? I think so too! (y)

The Importance of Logo Identity & Branding

spacer

Why is having a well designed logo so important? It is important because it is the first impression your business makes to a potential customer. Not only that but it provides immediate recognition to your company. You also want to stand out from your competitors in similar markets, using unique typefaces, colors or images for example, but also while inspiring trust and professionalism. Imagine a world with out brands. What if every company and every package looked the same? Wouldn’t the world be a boring place? Imagine every package, every billboard, every ad was the same, black and white, the same font everywhere, no unique stamp to call it their own, no logo design that says “choose me.” Would that alone change they way you buy things or what service you may go with? I know it would be simpler, because creative design sells. So let me create a logo for your business, whether it’s big or small, whether you’ve been around for along time, or you’re a brand new business. My design process is simple: Client states: I need a logo. Ok, My answer reflects the the best interest of the client, ” Who is your target market & look your striving for?” Once these “key” items has been addressed, the creative process begins. YES! In order to succeed and be dominant in your market, it helps to have an eye catching logo as the “doorstep” of your business. Logos can be created in many different design styles, and typography that can give a logo different overall feel and look. So in order to be “eye catching,” a logo must be creative, have the ability to versital in use, print, web, etc. So, I could go on about why branding is important, and the way I design all day long. But I will stop here (for now)–so what are you waiting for? Oh, did I mention that I am affordable? Contact me day or night, and lets create your new logo!
