Copying Rick Santorum’s infamous sweater vest swag will cost you at least $100. After announcing his plans to sell official Santorum brand sweater vests on Sean Hannity’s show last night, Mr. Santorum finally put the vests on sale on his site for those who donate $100 or more to his campaign.
“Perfect for demonstrating solidarity with true conservatives, this vest is a great way to show your support for Rick,” says the note on the site. “Don’t let sleeves slow you down — donate today!”
Despite the steep price, the site claims “demand has been extremely high for this item” and warns prospective sweater buyers that it make take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
Mr. Santorum has surged in the polls of late, but the latest numbers show he’s still in fifth place in New Hampshire and third place in South Carolina. If Mr. Santorum doesn’t gain ground soon, the end of his presidential bid might arrive for his supporters before they get their sweater vests.
