I’m going to try to post some more interesting music I find here. I’ll start with this good… downtempo? version of “Limit To Your Love” by James Blake that I found via Art Department’s Essential Mix. I really think the beat dropped behind it helps the song out.
I recently watched In Time starring Justin Timberlake, who yes really can act, and Amanda Seyfried.
It’s sort of a riff on Equilibrium, one of my most favorite movies, and Surrogates. In the movie, people stop aging at 25 years old and are then given 1 year worth of time (life). That becomes their currency, used to buy things and received as payment for work and such. While a bit rediculous of a premise, it results in some rather interesting scenarios. It’s more of a thought provoking movie than anything.
It’s a good but not great movie that is worth seeing. Also if you’re a gearhead like me, keep an eye out for the slick semi-retro styled vehicles. Whoever did the set design and such for this movie did a great job.
A bit of an odd ending though and not what I would have gone with but hey.
I never got around to writing my thoughts when I saw it a few weeks ago so I’m forcing myself to do it now.
Overall I really liked it. Rooney Mara’s performance was absolutely amazing. I really hope they make the next two films. A little confusing in parts due all of the characters but not too bad.
However be warned that it is an extremely graphic and violent movie. It’s not done in poor taste and it’s an important part of the character development but if you’re easily offended, I’m not sure it’s the movie for you.
In short, see it but be prepared.
You’ll love this video if you’re a gearhead:
It was filmed out in eastern Oregon and Washington! The awesome road in the video is Maryhill Loops Road which is closed to the public although it’s available for rent to car clubs and such.
A zero-budget short that is better looking than many movies. Quite amazing.

I’ve seen crazy shots like this before on YouTube but this one from last Saturday has to be the best. He rebounds it and then throws it nearly full court and well, I’ll let you see for yourself.
I don’t know why I find this video so funny or how I managed to actually watch the full hour, but I just couldn’t stop laughing. Watching these three guys stumble through trying to fly an incredibly realistic version of an airplane just cracks me up.

I had never heard of either of the previous two Saints Row games but I’m very glad I decided to take a look at the third title in the series. It’s similar to the Grand Theft Auto series but with the insanity turned up to 11. An incredibly fun game and worth checking out if you haven’t already!
EDIT: Still not convinced? Watch Simon and Lewis of Yogscast play through the first part of the game:
If you make a post private in WordPress, the post’s title with be prefixed with “Private”. The same will happen if you password protect the post, although it will be prefixed with “Protected”. If you’d like to remove these, just add the following code to your theme’s functions.php
file:
add_filter( 'private_title_format', 'yourprefix_private_title_format' ); add_filter( 'protected_title_format', 'yourprefix_private_title_format' ); function yourprefix_private_title_format( $format ) { return '%s'; }
The above code will remove the prefix by changing the format from Private: %s
and Protected: %s
to just %s
where %s
is the existing post title.
If you’d like to change it to something else, you can just change what the function in my example returns. If you want to change them independently of each other, then you’ll need to use two separate callback functions.
