I was curious about the subject of this book. 10 choices that would change your life? Really? I was familiar with the author's audio messages as well as other books, and was hoping this book would be as helpful as they were. I can really say that it was! The book is well balanced with scripture and real life examples. When the author is making a point, he backs it up not with his opinion, but with scripture.
This is not a boring book. It moves and flows very well. Overall, I highly recommend it! Most importantly, you need to make the choices listed in the book and not just read them and forget them!

Dr MacDonald pulls no punches in setting forth practical principles for genuine Christianity. 10 Choices is a bright light shining to those who are wandering in the dark shroud of failure and despair. Jesus wants to shape and mold us, and 10 Choices works to do just that. I appreciate the ministry of Dr. MacDonald, even when he tells me things that are unpleasant to hear, yet beneficial to my soul! I highly recommend this book to those who are tired of going through the motions of being a Christian. This points wholeheartedly to Biblical Christianity; nothing less.

It was a great series and the book and chapters I have read so far is amazing, it's all how we decide, 2 Identity Choices, 2 Authority Choices was great and love never fails!!!"10 Choices: A Proven Plan to Change Your Life Forever is a book with a deceiving title but great results. What I mean that all the hoopla with the Joel Olsteen non-sense of blah and all these how to books. All they do is to get you to buy the next "How to" book. With James MacDonald's book, this is not that at all. The choices in this book are more like are choices that have "Life Change" from the inside, and not some superficial modification. The choice like, "I Choose Jesus Christ as Lord" that would never fit into your best life now. Jesus calls us to lose our life for His sake. James MacDonald writes a winner!!! " Amen to that I agree totally.

I just started listening to James MacDonald on the radio and have read one of his earlier books, "Lord Change My Attitude." I can tell his heart is in the right place, full of love & compassion for his God and fellow man. This book can change your life too if you decide to read it & do what it says.

I have just started to listen to Dr. James MacDonald over the past maybe 6 months now and what a blessing he is from the Lord. Not only is he a great pastor, he has such a powerful message every time and you can just absorb all the things he preaches about because he is so on fire for the Lord. This was the first book i have read from Dr. James MacDonad and he brings his great messages straight to writing. It is hard to put this book down and not want to keep reading it. This book is FILLED with scriptures everywhere to show you what he is writing is completely backed up by The Word of God. Also this book is completely true. If you make these 10 choices in your life IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER! I think just the first choice will change your life forever but thats just me. I really enjoined this book and this could be one of my most favorite books I have ever read. Often in life, the most obviously correct choices are the most difficult to put into action. Yes, you can choose the correct path, but following through on that path ain't so easy. As fallen beings, we strive to find our way in this world, but often fall short of what God would have us do. James MacDonald lays out practically the choices we face and the challenges we often encounter with them. 'Practical' is one word that describes his writings. 'Brilliant' is another.

This book is thought provoking and will make you re-think your walk with Jesus. If you thought you were not walking right with Him before reading this book, well, you have another thought coming! Praise the Lord for men like James. I have been listening to his broadcast and growing in his teachings. When I was receiving chemotherapy, I could not get out to church and be around other people, and I listened faithfully to James. I was newly back with the Lord and a lot of his broadcasts had me on my face! Thank you Lord for giving us teachers like James!

I have often listened to James McDonald on Walk in the Word and have appreciated his candid, no-nonsense way of teaching God's Word and how to apply It to our lives. This book is outstanding. James once again hones in on the most important choices we make each day that shape our lives. He draws attention to the fact that we are making choices in our daily actions every day, and that being intentional about these choices is critical in our Christian walk. I was most impacted by the Choice of Family first, and have begun to make changes in my words and actions to live this powerful choice in my daily life. Suz (Stevens Point, WI) "10 Choices" delivers! I believe this book can be truly `life-changing'. I don't think a person can read this book or listen to the message series and not gain incredible, personal insights into the truths in God's word. It is the right message at the right time in a world that needs it desperately. I have been an avid listener and supporter of Dr. James MacDonald and Walk in the Word for close to ten years. Pastor James is truly on fire for the Lord. He teaches God's word so clearly and passionately--and so directly to my heart--that I am able to understand it like never before. I have read and listened to much of his material and I am convinced that you will not find an individual on this earth more fired up about God's word than James. He has a true gift from God and a heart for God's people. When I heard about his new book, "10 Choices," I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I ordered 5 copies of it right away--one for myself and four copies to share. The book arrived and my husband and I both could not put it down till we had read it cover to cover. All of James' work is biblically-based; his books are easy to read with content you will be thinking about and referring to again and again. I was also excited to find "That's My King" by Dr. S. M. Lockridge in Appendix A. I have given my extra copies away, told my family and friends about this book, sent people links to read about the book at [...], and even emailed excerpts from the book. I want everyone I know to read this book. There is so much in it for all of us--at a time we need it so very much. I think this is James' best work yet. I praise God for Dr. James MacDonald, all the people at Walk in the Word, and their faithful ministry.

I started listening to James' radio show several years ago, and have alway been impressed by his clear, straightforward, and impactful preaching. This book delivers more of the same! The Ten Choices are presented succinctly and are well-supported by Scriptural truth. I also really appreciated the reflection questions at the end of each chapters--they helped to clarify how I was doing on each of the choices, and pointed out the areas I needed to work on.
Throughout the book, Pastor James really encourages us to take personal responsibility for our lives, while responding and submitting to the sovereignty and awesome power of God. I found the book inspiring and challenging, and it spurred me along in my Christian walk!

I was amazed at the simplicity of this message and how much it changed the way I view my sin. We are the ones who make the choice to do the right or the wrong thing. This book presents a timeless truth, that we have all willingly walked away from the truth and presents it in a fresh way. The 10 choices are practical, everyday encounters and situations that we can all relate to. As always Pastor James has not shied away from difficult issues and hot topics but addressed them head on with the solid truth of God's word.
