Field Notes: Red Blooded
Field Notes has released a new notebook! RED BLOODED is the newest edition to the standard line of products. Yes, its red and perfect for Valentines Day, but it will be available all year long, not just for the holiday.
The new notebook is printed by hand on a vintage Miehle vertical press. In addition to the 48 light blue graphed pages we are used to, RED BLOODED is equipped with a new “Practical Applications” list. They are $9.95 for a three-pack of notebooks.
Are you excited yet? Check out this video that Bryan, a designer over at Field Notes, made for his wife. Now this is how you show love. Adorable!

Design Spotlights
Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are ready for some exciting spotlights today!
Recently The Design Files had a giveaway of a print by Emma Cleine of Lumiere and Co. I didn’t win the giveaway but I did fall in love with the cushions and prints! The winning print was framed and retails for $300. Head over to Lumiere and Co to see the rest of their products. Check out the winning print:
The Creus Armchair by Riva is an interesting chair. The Creus is made of a single piece of natural cedar wood. It is designed for comfort, with its curved back and leather cushions, and the brushed metal base adds stability. Spotted at Freshome via Trendir.
These Indice Bookends made me smile. They are the perfect way to add personality to your bookcase. I spotted them at Better Living Through Design and they are available at the MoMa Store for $24. The colorful bookends are designed by Hiroaki Watanabe. Made of powder coated steel with sturdy tabs, they make organizing your books and magazines easy.

Black Crow Studios
Black Crow Studios, by founder Tracy Hiner, designs custom wallpaper as well as large mural walls. BCS tries to put an artistic touch on their work, by customizing the wallapaper to fit your design. The large mural walls read like artwork without repeats in the pattern. BCS believes in quality over quantity, so they have limited designs on hand but they can customize to your liking.
So how does it work? BCS can create a design for you, or you can design your wallpaper yourself. Just send them an email or fill out the form on their site to get started. If you aren’t sure about designing an entire wall, you can create a canvas to be framed instead. The design process takes 2-3 weeks after receiving all necessary information from you.
I hope I get to use BCS in my next project!

Buzzilight
I have a *design crush* on Buzzispace. The Belgian company has won many awards for their innovative designs. One of my favorites is their versatile light, Buzzilight. Available in both a ceiling and floor version, the lamp is made of sound insulating felt strips wrapped around a steel structure. This allows the light to take on different shapes depending on your angle. The lamp is available in two sizes, and in five colors.
