Hi, I’m Aby Garvey, the organizing and productivity expert here at simplify 101. My passion is helping you create real and lasting change in your life by getting more organized. Together we’ll create a life and a space that you and your family will use and love.

I believe organizing is a fun and enjoyable process. As my client, I’ll help you create greater satisfaction for yourself and your family by using organizing strategies and techniques — customized just for you! The result? You’ll be happier, calmer, feel more in control, and be proud of your home.

As soon as I was old enough to reach the closet shelves, I began reorganizing and reworking, designing better ways to get things done. After college, I took these skills into the business world where I spent over a decade managing projects, improving business processes, and coaching employees on goal-setting and achievement. As my family began to grow, I realized that busy parents face many of the same challenges at home as professionals face in the workplace. That’s when I launched simplify 101. As a wife, mother and business owner, I know how important it is to your family’s well being (not to mention, your own sanity) that you have a schedule and home that works for your entire family.

I feel like the luckiest person alive. I get to do something I love — all while working with wonderful clients who are creating positive change in their lives. I’m honored by the trust they put in me and the way we work together to create incredible results. It’s truly amazing. And what’s even better is the fact that Jay, my husband, is living out his dream in simplify 101, too. Want to meet him?

Hi, I’m Jay Garvey. As Aby mentioned, simplify 101 is a dream come true for me, too. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t get as excited as Aby about organizing products and, if I never reorganize our basement for the rest of my life, that’d be just fine with me. But I do find tremendous value in being organized. Perhaps you and I have a little bit in common?  You see, when I met Aby, my “filing system” was chronological, with my oldest papers at the bottom and the newest at the top of each stack. My claim was that I knew where everything was — and I did.  It was in one of those stacks of papers! But knowing where something is and getting to it quickly are two different things. Now, Aby has helped me simplify things and my daily life is so much easier — I can even see my desktop!

So, you may be asking yourself, what exactly is it that I do at simplify 101.  Good question!  I ask myself that almost daily!  All kidding aside, I handle many of the things that go on “behind the scenes”.  In my former work life, I was an electronics engineer — that makes me the “techie one” here.  Our online store, online workshop system, email systems, etc.. all fall in my bucket. So, if you ever have any issues with our website, with your order, or with your online experience in general — don’t be shy. Just send me an email or give me a call — I’d love to help!

spacer I’m Jennifer McClure, marketing+content coordinator for simplify 101. I’m also a wife and a mother of two gorgeous girls, striving to stay on top of it all and enjoy all that I am blessed with! Some days I’ve got a good groove…everyone gets where they need to be on time and we even come home to a clean house! Some days I am a total mess of a mom…completely forgetting to send in the green jelly beans and sign the proper form. But most of the time I am somewhere in the middle. I love finding new ways to bring order to what can be a pretty chaotic life, so of course I jumped at the chance to work with simplify 101. (Well, honestly, who wouldn’t??) It’s a place where I can use my background in marketing communications alongside my passion for living a simpler, fuller life. I’m excited to work with simplify 101 where great ideas are born and shared on a daily basis!

We specialize in helping passionate people like yourself in organizing the activity or work spaces in your home, from your creative space to your kitchen.  Sure, we’ll help with your storage areas like the basement or garage too, but we believe the biggest benefits for your organizing investment come through getting the work spaces — or the place where things get done — organized and simplified. And throughout the process, our focus is on having fun and creating more time and space for the things in life that make you happiest.

Yes, we think organizing — and life itself — should be fun. But we take what we do seriously. We recognize that it can be a bit intimidating to have someone see the deepest corners of your closets and basement. We treat you and your possessions, opinions, time and goals with the respect you deserve. We’re committed to serving you with the highest attention to detail, and we work with you to design solutions that fit you, your family, your lifestyle and your personality.

Our goal is to teach you skills and techniques to get more organized, as well as to provide you with the products and tools that will make getting the job done more fun and efficient. We’ll help you become a more productive, more energized and happier version of yourself. You’ll have more time and more energy to do the things you love (plus, you’ll be able to find everything you use to do those things you love!)  Yes, we sell products — but here’s one guarantee: We will NEVER sell you something just to move product. If we don’t think a tool will help you, we won’t recommend it. When Aby works with you, her first priority is to repurpose existing organizing products and tools that you already own (and you do own at least a couple, right?).

We believe work can be fun and we believe fun should be fun. Your fun time should be free from any nagging, gut-eating feeling that you should be doing something “more important.” We believe you are our partner in this process. You are important and so are your wants, needs and goals. Most importantly, we believe it is possible and honorable to do business with honesty and integrity.
