Creative Resume

An accomplished photographer, writer and mixed-media artist Lucrecer draws inspiration for her work from everyday life and the interesting things her little people say. She has been a photographer for over twelve years and fell in love with it after taking a class at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. In 2007, her self-portrait, End of Summer, placed first in the Capture Cincinnati photography contest, People section. In 2008, Little Boots on Little People was published in the second Capture Cincinnati book. 2009 was a great year for her as, five of her images were published in the third Capture Cincinnati book.

The summer 2007, Lucrecer was commissioned to create two art journals as part of a collaborative project with Bowling Green State University’s art department.

Recently, she was a Community Leader for the crafting community at Blissdom ’11 in Nashville, TN. In June 2010, Lucrecer was a teacher and speaker during the craft workshop at the Evo ’10 Social Media Conference. January 2009, she was a  featured blogger in the Cincinnati Enquirer . The article focused on the growing female blogging community and it’s influence in Cincinnati. Lucrecer was invited to speak about her Art Slam project at the BlogHer 08 Conference in San Francisco. As part of the Beautiful Blogging and Postive Posting panel she  introduced a new perspective of creating authentic art through mixed-media art journaling to the blogging community.

Mixing traditional and digital scrapbooking techniques, her designs have been published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks Etc., Simple Scrapbooks and Paper Trends. She has been a member of numerous design and digital creative teams, as well as designed original artwork for OScraps and Hambly Screenprints. Lucrecer is a featured digital artists on Wacom’s Pen Scrappers website. In 2008, she was invited to join the Digital Scrabooking Magazine 2009 Creative Team. Digital scrapbooking has been a natural extension of her photography, allowing her to add layers of context and meaning to her portraits and art.

Lucrecer was born in Georgia and is southern girl at heart. Having lived in various places such as Montana, Florida, England and now Ohio, she credits her constant moving around with molding her sense of adventure. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Graphics from Central State University and has an extensive background in graphic design, marketing communications, art, design and writing.
