FanFest is two days away now and if you aren't excited about baseball season yet I think you will be after Saturday. One of the links below will have all the details as to what to expect Saturday and let you know when you should get down to the park, etc. etc. In addition to all that the Padres are doing, Steve Adler will be hosting Friarhood Radio directly from The Tilted Kilt right outside the ballpark. He will have Cody Decker joining the show, which should make for some great entertainment. Last year I spent all day there getting autographs. This year I don't expect to stay as long, but we'll see what happens. Here are your Padres links for today:

The San Diego Padres build with a plan - Fox Sports Arizona

"As far as 2012, “we realize no one is going to pick us, but we think we are better and we think when you get into it and you start playing well, you can build a lot of momentum quickly. With some of the moves we made, we don’t want to concede 2012 by any stretch. We want to give ourselves a chance,” Byrnes said."

Beyond The Boxscore looks at when the Padres window to win is

"All 15 of their B-rated prospects are set to join the club by 2014, so while Alonso and Grandal will already have 2 years under their belt, you can see that their window starts sometime in 2014."

Seven guys jockeying for 5 rotation spots - Chicken Friars

"Disaster Scenario when it comes to the Padres’ postseason chances aside, I’m excited to see how things shake up with the current starters as we head into Spring Training.  It will be interesting to see who emerges, stays healthy, and moves up/down the rotation as Opening Day approaches."
