The Children’s Creativity Museum Education Team offers a range of different workshops designed to spark the imagination, introduce innovative tools and methods, and encourage visitors to take creative risks and try new things. Ages 3 and up.
DIY STUDIO WORKSHOPS
DIY Theme of the Month: Story Making
Children will learn to make a book, explore collage materials, and write or illustrate a story.
Designed in partnership with TinkerLab, these hands-on 
workshops inspire children ages 3-12 to imagine, create, and share using a variety of materials and recycled objects.
DIY Studios are drop-in and require no additional payment or registration.
DIY Artist of the Month: Calcagno Cullen
Meet local artists, designers, innovators, and inventors at our monthly hands-on workshops inspired by the DIY Studio. These artists will lead visitors ages 3-12 through project-based workshop where they will create multimedia masterpieces, learn new tools, and practice critical thinking, and problem solving. DIY Artist of the Month workshops are drop-in and require no additional payment or registration.
Upcoming Workshop: Paint Your Dreams!
February 11 and 25, 12:00 to 3:00pm
In this workshop, facilitated by DIY Featured Calcagno Cullen, children will illustrate their most imaginative thoughts by creating self portraits with idea bubbles. Using oil pastel, watercolors, and collage materials, visitors will be able to tell their own creative stories in a fun and unique way.
