spacer With earlier sunsets and dropping temperatures we are on the lookout for new indoor activities. Play dough feeling played out? The recipe for cloud dough is so simple and the result is a completely new sensory experience for kids and their grown ups.

Rachelle at Tinkerlab got the idea from Karen at Flights Of Whimsy. True to her blog's name, Rachelle tinkered with the recipe, using canola oil instead of baby oil and adding lavender oil to make it smell incredible. The texture is unlike any other sensory dough and kids will love squishing it in their hands and pressing it into forms. The recipe is easy - mix plain flour and oil at an 8:1 ratio (a quick online search suggests that any kind of oil will work).
