The Details
- Content Strategy Consult: One hour of content strategy consultation to determine the best graphics plan for your business goals (normally $150). Before we start on the artwork, we’ll sit down and discuss your business goals, what you want your website to accomplish, and how your new illustrations can really boost your results.
- Illustrated Header: A full color, fully illustrated header image for your website (normally $490). First impressions are everything, and you want yours to have impact.
- Illustrated Footer: A matching footer illustration to suit your current web layout (normally $200).
- Social Media Avatar: A custom illustrated, personalized social media avatar of yourself, a character or your business mascot (normally $350). Use it on Twitter, Facebook, and anywhere else that needs a personal touch.

How do we get started? Call Megan at (512) 364-0045 (or email her) and she’ll set you up! First, we’ll schedule your consult — and once we know what your images should include, we may ask you for references as well (like a photo reference for the avatar, or photos of elements that need to be included in your illustrations).
Installation! How do I get the header and footer into my website? Some of you can hand them over to your web person, but if you’d like us to do that for you, we’re happy to help. If your website is already using code we’re familiar with, we’ll do it free of charge. In order to find out whether that’s the case, we may need your FTP information and your host’s control panel login. This is usually provided initially when you sign up with a web host, but if you don’t know how to get a hold of it, your host will be able to help you find it.
Will I own the rights to my images? Absolutely. When we’re all finished, we can even give you our original source files in case you’d like to make changes yourself somewhere down the line. These are usually Photoshop files, but sometimes they can include Illustrator files as well. In any case, you’ll receive the final web-friendly images that will appear on your website and your avatar all ready to upload into your favorite social media profiles.
What if I need revisions? We tend to be pretty flexible when making changes and we don’t often need to ask for additional funds. It does happen, though, especially when a revision will take us a lot of time or involve reworking the original concept. For those cases, here’s a good rule of thumb for revisions: Major spec changes after pencils add 25% to the cost, after inks add 45%, and after colors add 85%. For anything along other lines, we’ll be sure to tell you before we start anything that might cost more than previously discussed.
I’d like to use the artwork you create for this project on print materials. Is that okay? It’s absolutely fine — just keep in mind that we’re designing for web resolution, and if you want print resolution (which is much, much bigger than web) we need to know that up front in order to make sure the files we create are large enough for what you’re planning. For best results, talk to us up front about what you’ve got in mind. Chances are, we can make it happen.
