I launched Perfect Bound back in 2007 as a soon-to-be bride with too many stacks of wedding magazines on my hands. (The term “perfect bound” actually refers to a publishing method used to bind big, glossy magazines.) Throughout the process of planning my wedding, Perfect Bound grew from a personal journal to a professional endeavor. Now, four years later, Perfect Bound continues to thrive as both a source of inspiration for soon-to-be brides and a labor of love.
Back in 2007 the world of wedding blogs was much smaller than it is today. While there was no shortage of inspiration, there was certainly a learning curve that came with writing your own wedding blog. I’m proud to say I continue to write Perfect Bound with the same passion and optimism that I did when I was planning my own wedding. Although the landscape has changed, the motivation behind Perfect Bound has remained the same.
I am forever grateful to the blogging friends I’ve made over the past four years, and for the professional opportunities that writing Perfect Bound has allowed me. Since launching Perfect Bound, I have had the good fortune to work for several of my favorite glossy magazines including Lucky and W. Most recently, I worked in the Visual Merchandising department of NET-A-PORTER.
