about

The 11 Project is a quarterly magazine that is looking to redefine the good life by seeking out the best of what humanity is up to. In each issue we ask 11 people the same 11 questions around a theme. If you’re wondering where all this “11″ stuff came from, you can read more about it in this post.

In the words of Pamela Slim, “The conventional world order has blown up.” And yet we’re stuck with the same lingering ideas of what it means to be happy, fulfilled, and successful. In The 11 Project I seek out people from a broad range of fields and backgrounds and talk to them about what they’re contributing to the world. We’re basically un-earthing all the awesomeness that human beings have to offer, 11 questions at a time. Read along to delight in the people, stories, and experiences that celebrate a life well lived.

founder, editor

@brookethomas

Brooke Thomas is the founding editor, journalist about town, and chief cook and bottle washer. When she’s not finding and talking to amazing human beings here at The 11 Project, she’s helping more holsitic health practitioners to thrive at Practice Abundance, is a mama to her ridiculously adorable son, and is in private practice as a Rolfing practitioner. She also occasionally writes about herself in the third person.

Reese Spykerman

designer

@reese

Designer Reese Spykerman of Design by Reese has been generous enough to loan her freaky design genius to Adventures in Well-Being and she is responsible for just how dang good everything looks around here. When she’s not making everything look spiffy over here, she can be found Twittering prolifically as @reese and rabidly watching the show Supernatural. She enthusiastically got on board with The 11 Project because we all need heroes, and 11 people answering 11 questions in a beautiful publication is just right.
