Chocolate Chip Cookies Take 5 & a Blogger Award!

spacer

Chocolate Chip cookies take 5 (take 1, take 2, take 3, take 4)….But the good news about thisis I am finally completely HAPPY with these! These cookies are exactly what I have been looking for. Chocolate chip cookies are my all time favorite cookie. I like all of previous ones I have tried but these are the one, that I have long to find, Thanks to Martha Stewart.

I think Martha Stewart is great at what she does and who she is but for whatever reason all of her recipes that I had ever tired in the past, I didn’t love. So I was kind of skeptical about giving this recipe a try.
The picture of the cookie on her site looked so good and I compared the ingredients with my closest to favorite recipe that I already had and it made sense. Same ingredients pretty much just more or less of eggs, brown sugar, etc.

My 2nd Blogger Award (1st one)

½ teaspoon baking soda
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
½ cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips (I used milk chocolate chips)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a small bowl sift the flour and baking soda; set aside.
In a large bowl combine the butter with the sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy.
Reduce speed to low; add the salt, vanilla, and eggs.
Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute.
Add the flour mixture; mix until combined.
Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by tablespoon size balls of dough about 2 inches apart on lined baking sheets.
Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, about 8-10 minutes.

Remove from the oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1-2 minutes. (I ate one or two right away) Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.

Nutella Brownies

Happy World Nutella Day!

Being that I'm still kind of a newbie to Nutella I had no idea that today was Nutella Day! I found out through reading some tweets this morning. I knew right away what I wanted to make. I found this recipe a week ago, it was actually on Foodbuzz Top 9 made by the kitchenarian. Soon as I saw it, I just knew that I had to give these brownies a try, and I’m so glad I did.
I’m also glad that I followed the recipe to a T and it’s only a small batch because I really am trying to do better in what I eat. Yes I love sweets, but I really want to add more healthy sweets to my favs list.

Although Nutella is a healthy little snack I think it is still something that you should eat in moderations.
I just won a giveaway (My 1st giveaway) cookbook from Sandra's Easy Cooking and I can’t wait until I receive it so I can try out all the healthy sweets in it.
But back to the brownies, they are delicious, very fudgy! Baby B said mommy, I want that brownie for dessert all week, and it’s very good.
I think you all should try them out, for World Nutella Day!

Also it is my little cousin's 25th Birthday so I must give him a shout out,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRETT!!! I love you!! J
