  Confectionery was started in January 2009 by Portlander Jessie Smith as a creative outlet and career change-of-pace. The menu began small with artisan cupcakes but expanded within its second year, concentrating on cupcakes, french macarons, shorties, wedding cakes and everything else sugary sweet under the sun.

  Our current focus is on local area farmers markets and providing custom orders to our standout clientèle. Not too far off: wholesaling our lil’ goodies, confection clubs (cupcake club and french macaron club now available!) and a retail location.

  Most importantly, Confectionery is seeking to provide Portland with a local business that they can connect with. We are always open

to menu suggestions to accommodate diets (gluten-free, vegan, egg-free). Our business will always be a place that is based on culinary curiosity and enjoyment of food above all else.
