Fresh Starts…and a Pork Fest!
A few years back, I said I was leaving Chicago and never coming back… not to live anyway. Fast forward (or slow painful journey) to now… and I’ve just moved into a new place, just me and Gem – and I guess we’re gonna hang for a bit.

When it comes down to it, it really was about community. About people wanting you to be in the community, to “write what scares you,” but mostly to write if you feel like you MUST. Sure, monetize. Sure, edit. Sure, take wonderful photos. But express. Be you. Be GENUINE. And write. Continue reading »

My First Garden
Japanese Cucumber - Easy to grow and fantastic to eat
Last year, I had a mini garden on my back porch. Frankly, I was a mediocre gardener. I tended it, sure. But I didn’t love it. This year was completely different. Continue reading »
