STOP PUTTING SPAM IN “PROGRAMMING” TAG.
myconsole:
I’m so tired of blocking accounts.
Someone _must_ fix that. Check #javascript, basically the first few pages are spam. I wonder if a browser extension can be created to block those based on the randomly-generated spammer usernames.
Check this:
- Always seven characters
- Random characters in the range of [a-q][0-9]
Any ideas for an algorithm that would draw a line between randomly-generated and real username 7-character strings?
Of course, another alternative is to analyse the post itself or the blog of the spam-account.
Ultimately, a check for “Download Free” in the beginning of the post, a check for a lot of tags that are simply strings in the text, a check for a 7-character username would all do fine to block that spambot.
