• Q: What is SModCost?
  A: SModCost is a monthly membership program, run by SModCo, which provides access to premium podcasts without pre-recorded ads, exclusive video downloads, early access to tickets and any other benefits we might cook up in the future. In early July, a new and improved SModCast.com will launch, and it will include a SModCost members area full of archive and unreleased content.
• Q: When does SModCost launch?
  A: Right now! It started with a members only box of merch at a too-low price (which is now sold out!), continues now with a special ComiCon ticketing offer, and then launches as a full archive and members only area of the new Smodcast.com in July 2011.
• Q: What does SModCost cost?
  A: SModCost costs $4.99 per month (billed automatically) or $37 per year.
• Q: What was this $25 SModCost Pre-Order Bundle?
  A: For $25, fans received a big box of merch (including comic books, a mystery t-shirt, stickers, a poster and either a lunchbox or an action figure (surprises are fun!). This $25 included the first month of SModCost membership ($4.99), but all boxes are now sold out! However, you can now sign-up for SModCost Monthly or SModCost Annual to pre-order your subscription wthout the merch bundle. You will still be eligible for the ComiCon ticket offers. Next month, you'll be billed $4.99. You can cancel anytime.
• Q: Can I buy the SModCost merch box without the membership?
  A: Nope. The box is (we hope you agree) a great deal, it's members only, and it's sold out!
• Q: When will I get my SModCost merch box?
  A: If you pre-ordered SModCost with the merch box, you'll get it very quickly! Our warehouse slaves are shipping 'em out the door damn-near immediately.
• Q: Is there a SModCost membership card?
  A: Nope. When you purchase your membership, instead of choosing a name and password, you'll simply be asked to sign-in to a popular web service like Google, Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, Twitter or Facebook. Your credentials for that service will become your SModCost credentials too... which is good if you tend to get blazed and forget shit. Accessing SModCost members only offers or areas of the site will be easy -- if you're logged in, you'll sail right in; if you're not a couple quick clicks to your service of choice will grant you access. Don't worry, we never get to see the credentials you use, so your data stays completely private to you.
• Q: Will SModCost be available on iTunes, Zune, (insert other service here). Does it require special software to use it?
  A: Nope. SModCost content and special offers will only be available on SModcast.com and other SModCo websites. It's our shit, and our shit only. Files will play on the site and be available for you to download and own. Once downloaded, you'll play them back in your media player of choice (like iTunes).
• Q: Will SModCost be totally, 100 percent AD-Free?
  A: Not entirely. It won't ever have pre-recorded ads, but we can't promise that a live-read ad won't occasionally sneak in. We'll do our best.
• Q: Can I purchase SModCost as gift for a friend?
  A: Sadly, no. Because we don't store your private data, we can only sell memberships to the person who will use them.
