Internet Marketer & Offline Consultant
It doesn’t have to be anything too fancy nor expensive. Simply look around your niche and find out how the competition are branding their businesses. Alternatively, look at the larger players in your niche to get a few ideas for logos, colours, look and feel etc.
Once you’ve done a little research, you can then send all of that research to a graphic designer. With that information, they can formulate a plan to get your branding complete from the brief you sent them.
The image above is my new brand for my offline products and it’s quite cheeky and has a non-corporate feel.
I’d like your opinions and thoughts?

Hi Des,
I always love it when a company introduces a little humour into their image, we always remember things better when they create an emotion and your little hippo there is just the ticket.
Just think one day he may be as well known as Aleksander the Meerkat,
My only criticism would be the background music on your video. I was distracted somewhat by it, but, hey, that’s just me.
Good luck, mate,
Barry
Hey Barry,
I’m glad you liked the new brand and the humour side of it, you thoughts and comments are really appreciated.
With regards to the audio, I’m playing with it to see what works and what doesn’t. I may even take the music out completely in future videos. So, your comments are noted mate.
Thanks,
Des
I forgot to ask Des, what are you calling your hippo, or do I sense a competition in the offing,
Barry
LMAO, yeah, I should give him a name, shouldn’t I.
I’ll let you know when I think of one
Hey Des,
I think your hippo looks fantastic man, I’m actually on the fence to have a cartoon character of myself but I don’t think I’m ready for that just yet lol
I also agree with Barry, the music was distracting but only because the audio levels were too high.
I wouldn’t use music in the whole video though, maybe you can use intro and outro, just not background music, what do you think?
Sergio
Hey Sergio, thanks for popping over.
You know what? You’re absolutely right. Barry too!
I’ll play music at the beginning and at the end of any future presentations.
Come on, I nice cartoon character of yourself would look great
Haha I’ll see what I can do.
Hi Des, I have to agree with Barry and Sergio about the music mate, it was a bit loud and made it difficult to hear you at times but hey, we learn from these things
I think the hippo and text look great Des and you’re right in what you say about being instantly recognizable and we all want that even if some of us don’t know it yet
I see in the box at the top of the post it is a little squashed up mate, can you make it wider?
Catch you up soon Des, Take care mate.
Barry
Hey Barry,
Yep, the music was waaaay to loud. I appreciate the feedback
The hippo is definately a goer and it’s nice to have my friend’s stamp of approval.
The featured image needs adjusting. I was going to do it today, but like Dan, I’m going to be changing the overall look and feel of my blog.
Cheers.
Des
