Welcome to ParchmentGirl.com! I’m so glad you stopped by. This blog is dedicated to discussing a diverse array of books, ranging from Christian and New York Times bestselling fiction to memoirs, biographies, and Christian living. Because I am a follower of Christ, I view every book through a Christian worldview lens. I read and review both secular and Christian books on a variety of topics and welcome readers of all ages, nationalities, and belief systems.

Here you will find book reviews, author interviews, Q&A sessions with fellow book bloggers, giveaways, vlogs, and articles on a number of book-related topics. Pretty much anything having to do with reading, writing, or book blogging is open for discussion!

About Me

My name is Kate Scott, aka The Parchment Girl. I am an avid reader, blogger, and book reviewer.

I love writing, have been blogging for three years, and reviewing books for various publishers for two years. After months of planning, I launched ParchmentGirl.com in August, 2010. I also enjoy journaling and have a minor obsession with writing instruments of all kinds, from modern ballpoints and computers, to dip pens, Italian leather journals, and vintage typewriters. I have been also been noted for my ability to keep myself happily occupied for hours in virtually any place filled with books–whether that be the library, bookstore, moldy basement, or dusty attic.

When I’m not reading or blogging, I research naturopathic medicine and chronic infectious and environmental diseases, educate myself about ecological responsibility, and do my best to pursue a healthy lifestyle.
