Victor Zaud

VICTOR ZAUD
President & Creative Director

Vic simply loves conceiving of and developing products. He also speaks in tongues – and can often bridge the gap between marketing requirements, engineering requirements, and design. His experience in developing brands and technology products makes his knowledge priceless in helping determine what will and will not ultimately be successful.

Victor has helped conceive, shape, design, and build some of the most notable technology products in use, online and in business practice today. Ranging from consumer applications from companies like Yahoo and Adobe, to “on-demand” online applications like Arena Solutions, CourseSmart, and Travelocity.

Vic has also participated in the founding of several ventures including the recent chart-topping Glam Media ad-network. Vic also helped start Dovetail Entertainment, an online distribution network for independent films and NetObjects – a Web-authoring software company. Vic’s interest in consumer products led him to helping start the Republic of Tea and the organic skin care company, JuiceBeauty.

Before starting Zaudhaus, Vic was the Director of Product Design at NetObjects, a leading Web-Authoring Software company where he was responsible for the product development of NetObjects Fusion. Vic created the Product Design department of NetObjects in 1996 in collaboration with Clement Mok, founder of Studio Archetype (now Sapient). Vic led the 6-person product development team for NetObjects Fusion 1.0., 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0, along with Team Fusion 2.0 and NetObjects Authoring Server System 3.0. Under his direction, NetObjects Fusion won numerous awards for outstanding user-interface design including the prestigious IDSA Gold award (Industrial Design Society of America) and four patents for Internet-related technologies.

Prior to starting NetObjects, Vic was a principal designer and business consultant for The Understanding Business (TUB), a design & business consulting company in San Francisco. While at Clement Mok designs (later Studio Archetype and now part of Sapient) Vic was responsible for developing new multimedia products, software application user-interfaces and several packaging and identity systems for clients such as Autodesk, Intouch, and Apple Computer. Vic worked in Apple Computer’s Creative Services, notable for their prestigious design efforts, from 1985-1988 on several projects including the introduction and definition of Desktop Publishing and the launch of HyperCard.

Vic holds a Graphic Design degree with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and holds 4 patents for Internet-related technologies. When he’s not designing, you can find him on the racetrack with his vintage 1980 Porsche 911SC that he rebuilt to racing specifications.
